Terms
Last updated 4 October 2026
These terms cover your use of PinDrop Music at pindropmusic.com. By creating an account you agree to them. Please read them alongside the privacy policy and the refund policy.
Who we are
PinDrop Music is run by Owain Williams, a sole trader in the United Kingdom, trading as PinDrop Music (“we”, “us”). Contact us at hello@pindropmusic.com; our postal address is available on request.
The service
PinDrop Music is a private space where a band shares work-in-progress Songs. An Owner creates a Project and invites Members by email. Owners and Members upload Versions of Songs and leave Feedback pinned to moments in them. Only a Project's Owner and its Members can open it.
Your account
- You need an account with a verified email address. You must be at least 13, and old enough to agree to these terms where you live.
- Keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
- You can stop using PinDrop Music any time. To close your account, email us.
Plans and Limits
- Every Owner is on a Plan: Free, Band or Producer. A Plan sets Limits on the number of Projects you own and their Storage, the total size of their Versions. The current Plans and Limits are on the pricing page.
- Versions that Members upload to your Projects count towards your Storage. Members don't need a paid Plan.
- If you go over your Limits, for example after a downgrade, nothing is deleted. You can't create Projects or upload Versions until you're back under them.
- Members are unlimited, within fair use: PinDrop Music is for sharing work in progress, not for distributing music to the public.
Paying
- Paid Plans are sold through Stripe, which acts as our reseller and merchant of record. Stripe takes your payment, charges any VAT or sales tax, and issues your receipts, and its own terms of sale also apply to your purchase.
- Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT where it applies. Stripe may show you an equivalent price in your own currency.
- A Subscription renews automatically each month or year until you cancel. You can cancel any time and keep your Plan until the end of the period you've paid for.
- An upgrade starts straight away and is charged pro rata. A downgrade takes effect at the end of the period.
- If a payment fails and can't be collected, or your Subscription ends, you move to the Free Plan.
- You can cancel and get a full refund within 14 days of your first payment. See the refund policy.
- If we change a Plan's price, we'll email you at least 30 days before it applies to you, and you can cancel before then.
Your music and Feedback
- You keep all rights in what you upload. You let us store, copy, process and stream it only as needed to run PinDrop Music for you and the people you share it with, such as making waveforms and playing Versions back to your Project's Owner and Members.
- Only upload what you have the right to share. You're responsible for what you upload and write.
- Don't use PinDrop Music to break the law, infringe anyone's rights, harass people, spread malware, or attack or overload the service.
- We may remove content or suspend an account that breaks these terms. Where we can, we'll tell you why first.
Availability
We work to keep PinDrop Music running and your music safe, and we keep backups, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. Keep your own copies of your masters and stems. If we ever close PinDrop Music, we'll give you at least 60 days' notice so you can download your Versions, and refund any part of a paid period that you can't use.
Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Otherwise we're not responsible for losses that weren't foreseeable or for business losses, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. If you're a consumer, these terms don't affect your legal rights.
Changes
We may update these terms as PinDrop Music changes. We'll email you about any change that matters at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you don't agree, you can close your account.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts deal with disputes. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you can also bring a claim in your local courts and keep the protection of your local consumer law.
